NAD 2240PE Power Amplifier, 2 channels of clean power!! (bottom component in photo) Can be bridged to one channel. Soft-clipping mode switch on back. Although rated at just 40 watts... this will sound better and louder than most (dirty) amps of higher ratings. I purchased this from the audio/video club (store) in Germany while I was in the Army. PLease se my other auctions if you want to build a complete, high quality, vintage NAD system. This AMP is the best component of my collection... clean power is a good thing. Just searching for one... I see one sold here for over $200.... it is a great amp. From NAD: The 2240PE offers exceptional price/performance value even by NAD’s exacting standards. It is conservatively rated at a modest 40 watts per channel of steady-state power. But thanks to Power Envelope design, its IHF dynamic power for musical transients is vastly higher - over 160 watts/channel.
